COST & DISCLAIMER

This project cost me about 80 € and It took me about 80 hours to achieve it. not counting “small” supplies like m3 m4 screws and nuts, small wires and sockets, set of heat shrink sleeve, brass hot insert nuts for 3d print.

However, by checking prices recently, i’ve seen that a lot of prices have gone up a lot since the last 3 months, for ex heatbed has gone up from 11,41 € to 15,38 €, so today total reach 105 € (amount detailed on "Items prices" page), you can lower this amount by choosing cheaper pieces, there are a lot but it’s risky. Consider i still not counting “small” supplies, you can easily add 30 € if you don’t have it , ie 135 € that gonna start getting expensive. 

So think carefully to see if it’s worth it and if it wouldn’t be better to use that money for a new printer, or 17 kg of sweets, it’s your call.

Consider also that this amount is only possible thanks to "Aliexpress", find out more if you are not familiar with it.

DISCLAIMER (A MUST READ !)

I warn, you have to be very aware of the major difficulty of this project, this is not the kind of mod which just involve printing some parts then screwing it and that's all. 

No, there is a quite of measurements and calculations to do, a lot of work, and because i preferred to use metal parts when it’s was possible (stronger & less distorsion) , there are not many prints to do (compared to other mods), but a lot of handworks, drilling, sawing, etc.

I had faced many problems, and be sure that you will have to, even if i give you guidelines.

Also, having some electric/tronic basics knowledges is recommanded, and there is a lot of welding to do to extend and connect wires, of course you’ll need a soldering iron.

So if you don’t have a strong tinkering soul, and a big… ...tenacity, don’t do it !

although the changes are basically reversible (except a broken belt), you will do it at your own risk.
